Tim & I have many friends who have wanted family for a long time and are yet to be blessed with the miracle of one. However, we do know one couple who have been married for 5 years now, and have waited for a child, and are now eagerly anticipating the arrival of their little one. She is currently 13 weeks along. In fact her due date is exactly 4 weeks before ours.
That's right, after 12 years of marriage, and 10 years of waiting for a family, God has finally blessed us with our own little bundle of joy! We decided to only let know as many as we absolutely had to until we've reached the 3 month mark. After reading Melinda's blog, I have been itching to start one of my own that we can share with all of you when we let the cat out of the bag.
Needless to say, the past 9 weeks have not been what I would call "easy". I have been very fortunate to not have experienced morning sickness, or complete exhaustion on a daily basis. However, there have been some issues that have had us relying on God for the protection of our child. He has been completely faithful in preserving this pregnancy, for which we are truly grateful. We can see His hand in the absolutely perfect timing of this blessing. Something we also had realized might not be in our future. But how merciful and loving a Father we have!
