I love food! No, make that, I LOVE FOOD!
Needless to say, pregnancy has put a definite damper on my indulgences. I am so not in my element. Take for example the most annoying part, which is, whatever I have eaten thus far, the next day I can't stand the thought of. My husband took me for a burger last week that I had been craving for weeks, but since then the last thing I want is a burger; my sister also makes amazing hummus. Had the family over for dinner, and ever since I've not been wanting to touch hummus. And it's not just one thing here or there, but literally everything I eat! So my choices for nourishment are rapidly dwindling!
The worst thing I've lost all desire for is my absolute favourite food: Cinnamon Rolls! (yes I capitalized it, I like them that much!). But I was in the mall the other day and smelled the most wonderful smell. Walked into Laura Secord to find out they were making fresh waffle cones. The guy behind the counter said no one ever asked him to just buy the cone before with no ice cream on it! Ah well, such is the life of the pregnant woman!
Also, I've discovered that my prenatal vitamin is not agreeing with me. Have been off it over a week now and have been doing great, only to go on a folic acid supplement and have the same issues. So I've decided to go off all prenatals and stick with my greens. I mean, if you really think about it, women have had children for millenia without taking supplements. Will just forge ahead as they did!
